The finish on the bike is very nice, only a small handful of scratches to mention. A nice tall frame and 10 gears in total! Super cush comfy spring saddle. Mostly just dust but some grime from greasing the chain and some very minor rusting. I haven't had a chance to refurbish this bike yet.There is not much work to be done on it, really just a good thorough cleaning. Vincent DePaul and rode it out of the store. There are a couple chips in the paint from being move around the shop and has been alway garage kept it's entire life. I bought it about two years ago from the original owner for my collection and I maybe put 10-15 miles on it at the most. From what I was told(from the original owner) is that it's all original except for the tires and tubes. The brakes are center pull"Schwinn approved. The label"le Tour is either stamped or engraved in the following: front and rear derailleur, crank, and hubs& skewers. The seat tube is 64cm(center to top) The top tube is 57cm(center to center) and the stand-over is 34 5/8. Here's a 1973 Schwinn Le Tour in excellent used condition.

Seat is in great condition and comfortable. The kick stand is missing and the hand le bar goose neck stem has been replaced with authen tic Schwinn racing stem in an attempt to make this bike lighter. The Schwinn stamped 27" rims are straig ht and have the usual surface rust. But this can be cleaned up nice with steel wool.
There is surface rust on the chrome pieces through out. I just want you to be assured that the components are solid, but its going to need re-greas ing. I would good through this bike in detail before going on a long ride. Everything on the bike works a s I jus t rode it around the block a couple days ag o.

T here is a bicycle license sticker on the seat tube and the bottom crank hous ing has an itched ID number that was popular to do in the 1970's for security purposes. There are chi ps in the paint here and there. Color of this bike is the popular Campus Green. It is model number 126 with the 26" frame- a tall frame for the taller rider(5' 9" and above) Frame is in great shape and nice and straight. Up for bid is a 1973 Men Sch winn Varsity 10 speed.
